What: Lieutenant Governor Brad Little, Idaho Suicide Prevention Coalition, and suicide prevention advocacy groups team up to host proclamation signing during Suicide Prevention Week.

Why: In 2011 and 2016, Mayor Bieter of Boise, hosted a suicide prevention press conference to help emphasize the launch and then the growing momentum behind Idaho’s work to end suicide. This year, Idaho will celebrate Suicide Prevention Week with a proclamation signing at the Statehouse and will announce upcoming suicide prevention events and programing taking place in our state. All are welcome to attend an help bring awareness to this important subject.

The Idaho Suicide Prevention Coalition is a statewide alliance of groups dedicated to reducing suicide in Idaho. ISPC provides concerted representation on suicide prevention, public policy and education. The Idaho Suicide Prevention Coalition was formed in 2015 with a concerted representation of public and private supports, including: the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline, Suicide Prevention Action Network (SPAN), LiveWilder Foundation, The Speedy Foundation, and many others.
