Children’s Mental Health crisis/intake line for Ada, Boise, Elmore and Valley counties is 208-334-0981. Staffed Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. After hours and on the weekend, call Mobile Crisis at 208-334-0800, option 2. These teams are ready to help if you or your family need assistance with a mental health crisis.
Psychiatric Emergency Team (PET). This is a collaborative between the Ada County Paramedics, Ada county Behavioral Health and Law enforcement. A team consisting of Law Enforcement, Paramedics and clinicians will respond to your home or in the community to assist with assessing the need for inpatient treatment and if needed, coordinate a direct admission to a local hospital. Hours are limited for this, so call Children’s Mental Health or Mobile Crisis for more information.
Respite services are available to support families with financial assistance to coordinate a planned break for everyone to practice some self-care. Respite services can be provided by people who are part of the family support team (friends, family members) or by professionals through About Balance.
