Vashti Summervill is the mother of two teenage girls, a passionate educator, parent coach and musician. She began suicide prevention advocacy after one of her children survived a suicide attempt. She currently works upstream to develops programs to support and educate parents, especially those struggling in their relationship with "tweens" and teens. She is a graduate of The Parent Coaching Institute and a member of Building Connected Communities where she trained to facilitate Conscious Parenting Workshops. Vashti serves on the St. Luke's Pediatric Family Advisory Council representing families with children hospitalized due to a mental health crisis.
She has a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado and a Master’s of Music/Vocal Performance from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. She holds Parent Coaching Certification ® from The Parent Coaching Institute and an Idaho Elementary Teaching Certificate with a K-12 Music Endorsement.
